I'm so excited to share the North American cover of Prince Voronov's Virgin with you! This book will be available June 7, 2011 — you'll notice a different title for the NA market: Behind the Palace Walls. Same book, fancy new title. π
I *totally* love this cover! What about you?
This book, as Prince Voronov's Virgin, has spent 5 weeks on the Mills & Boon bestseller list in the UK! Three of those weeks were at #1. I hope my North American readers will love it as much as my British readers seem to.
Ooh, very nice. You’ve been so lucky with good covers! I like the new title. Is NA trying to be more PC? π
I am very pleased with my covers thus far! And yes, I think they are trying to be more PC. There was some thought, I believe, that the NA market had title fatigue. π
Wow and double Wow! Love it!
Thanks! I do too!
SCHWEET!
Yep! π
Tall, dark, and handsome–what’s not to love, huh? Can’t wait to get him—it!–in my hot little hands. π
Hi, Janice! Thanks! He is indeed tall, dark, and handsome! Yum! π
I love the cover, Lynn. Gorgeous! I can’t wait to read the story when it is released. And the title is perfect π
Thank you, Christine! I think they did a great job on the cover and the title. π
What’s wrong with Prince Voronov’s Virgin? A good title. You know he’s a prince, and foreign, so he’s royalty and loaded and has some kind of sweet accent. As a man, if you said, “Princess Voronov,” then hey, I’m halfway there. Plus you have “Virgin” in there, which means the book has love scene, which everybody flips to and dog-ears.
Behind the Palace Wall is alright. It’s just not as awesome as Prince Voronov’s Virgin, or — even more awesome — Prince Voronov Invades Neighboring Kazahkstan and Seduces Three Virgins While He Is There, But Cannot Decide Which One to Marry, So He Converts to Mormonism and Marries Them All.
LOL! I love your title, but not sure Harlequin would go for it. π
Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with titles. I simply turn the book in and wait to see what they come up with. Virgins are quite popular in the UK, apparently. And though they are popular here too, Harlequin seemed to think the North American market had title fatigue and needed new ones. As they told us, the Greek tycoon has seduced his last virgin mistress — or something like that. It was quite funny, actually. Wish I’d saved the letter. π
