I'm afraid the posts might get sporadic now. My deadline is fast approaching, and I have much work to do. Spent the morning battling tornadoes. Hope we're all done with those for a while. Pretty please?
What's your natural disaster where you live? Tornadoes? Hurricanes? Earthquakes? None of the above?
In the area I live hurricanes are the disaster of choice. 🙁 And holding your breath from May to November is really kinda hard. I so hope this year is a “good” year and there are not so many to worry about.
Hurricanes are no fun either! I thought we were supposed to be out of tornado season, but apparently I was wrong. 🙁 Good luck with the season — may it be mild!
In my life it is cats! 😀 They wake you when you need to sleep and destroy everything around you when you’re awake!
Does this answer your question? 😉
No kidding there!
Where I live thankfully I have none of the above. Though I do get some leftovers from hurricanes, but by the time they get here they’re tropical storms or depressions. In very rare occasions there may be a tornado, but it’s not the norm. My natural disaster if you consider it it, is snow and ice storms. Now every winter I have that. It’s nice for Dec but after or before not so much.
Hi, Nicole! I like snow in Dec too, but we don’t really get it here. Though let one flake fall, and the whole city closes down. That’s the south for you. 🙂
Hmm, I’ve battled broken bones, Swine Flu, Tornadoes…
If the plague of frogs arrives, I’m giving up my career…
I take it the frogs didn’t arrive? 😉
How about all of the above? We’ve had several earthquakes since I’ve been here (one on a Sunday morning that shook the chapel). We’ve had wildfires. Tornadoes. One ice storm. Fun!
LOL, Mark! You’ve had it all there, huh? I bet the earthquakes are nothing like the one we had in Hawaii that shut the whole state down! Thank goodness for potluck that day, or we wouldn’t have eaten for hours.
I was there with the Tornados…! UG. I have battled blizzards and I am really not eager to find any thing else to battle.
Good luck on that deadline!!!! You GO! 😀
No, I don’t care for blizzards, Mary! Or tornadoes, come to think of it….
I spent all last night battling the weather alarm in one ear, blaring rock music from upstairs, and the alarm in the other ear. Who’s counting Tornadoes (Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Alabama), blizzards (NJ Blizzard of ’96), Earthquakes (Japan, 1968 and California), cats (Aphrodite, do not be fooled by her name), dogs (the dreaded Tina), Ice storms (NJ, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kansas, and an almost fateful trip through Arkansas that nearly wiped out my entire family), and last but not least, family vaca’s that always end with one of us taking a trip to the hospital.
Now back to battling children…
Gracious, Kathy, you’ve got your hands full! Hugs and good luck! The dreaded Tina cracked me up….
Late to the party but I was in the utility closet yesterday when the sirens were shreiking. Then today I drove down Hughes Road and saw all the trees down. Yowsa! We’ve had enough already. You can stop now, Mother Nature.
I’m with you, Marilyn! It can stop now. Yes, when I went driving on Hughes and Brownsferry, I was shocked at how much really happened. And thankful it missed my house and didn’t hurt anyone!
You know tornadoes seriously scare me. Is there a phobia for tornadoes – tornadobia? If there is I probably have it. We get cyclones (hurricanes) here and I’d rather take on one of those (maybe it’s fear of the unknown?). May you never see another tornado.
