To the people who keep typing some variation of “how to kill my spouse” into their search engines and clicking over here, there is NO WAY to kill your spouse and get away with it. It's wrong, it's immoral and illegal. Get a divorce. Go to counseling. But do NOT think you're going to kill your spouse and get away with it.
This is the post that's popping up in the search engines. It was a tongue in cheek statement that a writer can put anyone she is mad at in a book (as a character, duh) and then do what she wants to them. It's not a treatise on how to get away with murder.
What's on your mind today? If you blog, what's the top search phrase (or the weirdest) that brings people visiting?
LOL! When Instigator blogs about her farm and their animals we get strange hits. Search for romance and farm animals and well… you get the picture. And it’s not a pretty picture at all.
Of course our best search hit came from someone who was moving to this area and was searching for good reasons to live in the south. A blog I’d done on that very topic popped up in her results and the rest is history. ๐
That’s hilarious – if a little worrying. I remember reading somewhere that one of the most overused short story plots involved killing a spouse, so it’s obviously a popular fantasy. I don’t get many visitors to my blog – perhaps I should try a similar title.
I’m not thinking about killing a spouse but about creating a plot. I started a new story today, Ransomed Bride, Captive Sheikh. It has a little intrigue included with a traditional “Presents type” story.
Marilyn, that’s too funny — and weird — about the farm animals! Hey, thanks. ๐ Finding your blog was like having a beacon to guide the way. It was awesome to feel welcome before ever stepping foot off the plane. ๐
Suzanne, isn’t it a kick? I’m always amazed at the hits. Sometimes I’ll go a week or two without it, but inevitably it comes up again. Wonder how many are seriously looking for such info?
Hi, Patricia! Well, I love intrigue! I was a wanna-be romantic suspense writer before selling to Presents. ๐ I say why not? A little intrigue never hurts a story. ๐
