Please excuse the mess while the author of this blog is forcibly dragged kicking and screaming into the world of Apple. Hubby insists.
I am on a very cute MacBook and hubby is buying an iMac to replace the desktop. It's different, and there's a slight learning curve, but it's pretty intuitive. So far, not too upset, but things look different. And my home network is refusing to cooperate, not because of Apple, but because we were switching to DSL from cable. The phone company sucked me in and lied about the money they were going to send me. I may have to send the DSL modem back with a note about where they can put it, but we'll see. 🙂
In the meantime, hope everyone is writing and getting lots done! I hope to be back to normal soon!
Good luck getting everything set up and back online, Lynn! I’m already confused. 🙂

So, viewing blogger sites yet? Googling?
Can’t wait to try video chat!
(This comment prepared on a Mac.)
Hey, Kathy! Well, if that wasn’t confusing enough, what if I tell you I’m writing this on my PC? Ha!
I’m on the PC because of the stupid DSL connection and the wireless router. Hubby wants to buy the Mac router now (thanks Mark. I owe you big. BIG. Don’t look behind you….mwhahahahaha!) because the current router and the DSL don’t like each other. It’s stupid, it’s ATT’s fault, and who knows what else. But I did call them and complain about the money they promised to send me. So now they are sending me the full $250 instead of the paltry $75 I just got.
Mark: Yep, it’s something to do with the ports on the router blocking the Google and Blogger sites on the Mac. We went to another network, hooked up, and went straight to the sites. So it’s this router. Mike wants the Airport base station, or whatever that darn thing is, now. Really, all I see are dollar signs spinning and spinning like a slot machine. I’m starting to feel really bad for my poor PC. What did it do to deserve this?! 🙂
A mac, huh? TRAITOR! LOL!
LOL, Tanya! I feel badly for turning my back on my poor PC. But I have to admit that the Mac has some features I’m enjoying. For one thing, when I open it back up after it’s been sleeping, my document is right there, bam. When I open the PC up, I have to wait. And I have 1.5GB of memory on the PC, so it shouldn’t be slow.
Word looks different, and I don’t like that. I prefer the PC word, but I’ll get used to Mac. And, totally girly of me, I really love the clean look of the white MacBook. 🙂
LOL
This was written on a PC. 🙂

I’m considering the Mac move, so please comment how it’s going once in awhile.
Apple Airport needed — noted.
Hey, Jean. The airport isn’t needed, but it’s easier (as we discovered yesterday when we plugged it in). More on Apple in the next post!
