My brain is still drained. I can't think of a thing to say, so here's a picture. Mark Twain called Waimea Canyon the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. It was beautiful the day we saw it.
Man, I'm going to miss Hawaii. I won't miss the cost of living or the outrageous real estate, but I will miss the scenery and the weather. Still, I know leaving is for the best. But I'm not going to be able to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter when I'm in Alabama. I'll probably cry and feel homesick for the islands. ๐
Hawaii will always miss you guys, too!
And you can take frequent writing retreats to Hawaii, since you have a place to stay.
I may take you up on that. ๐
Why can’t you watch Dog? He’s on cable. I have my TIVO set to record him. ๐
Hey, Carol! I know he’ll be on cable, but it’s the looking at Hawaii part I won’t be able to take for a while. ๐ Especially since I’m arriving in Alabama in November. Brrrr.
My husband and I talked about this again yesterday. *sigh* He knows he would get a job offer here, even knows how much it would be for (approx), and it would definitely be livable. But he really wants to go, so go we must. ๐ The irony is that he was the one who said he wanted to retire here just two years ago.
