Hey, everyone! Sorry to be quiet lately, much going on in Chez Harris. I have a new book to write — in fact, I have TWO books to write by June 1st. The second book will be part of a multi-author continuity due out in 2011 from Harlequin Presents. I have no idea what the story will be yet, because my editor hasn't told me, but I'm looking forward to it! (A continuity, btw, is a series like the House of Karedes or the House of Niroli books. Multi-author, separate stories, one continuing arc.)
In other news, my sheikh novella, Kept for the Sheikh's Pleasure, has been accepted and will be out in the UK in September 2010! I don't know who I'll be out with, but as I know more, I'll post it here. The story features King Zafir bin Rashid al-Khalifa and the archaeologist he once had a passionate affair with, Dr. Geneva Gray. Their story is hot and emotional, and I hope you'll enjoy it! I have no idea if it'll be out in the US, but I do hope it will be at some point.
I have just finished the copy edits on The Devil's Heart, and that will be out in the UK in July 2010. No US date yet.
It's hard to believe that I've already written five titles for Harlequin! And by the middle of the year, I will have written two more. In many ways, it's good to be so busy. 🙂 I have so many ideas, and so many good things coming up this year. I'll be at the Romantic Times Convention with my pal Kimberly Lang in April, and of course there's the RWA National Conference in July (which is in my back yard this year! No flight!). I'm really looking forward to these events, and to the coming of spring. I'm so sick of cold and wet and ice. Brrr!
What are you looking forward to this year?
Great news on the continuity series being planned. How exciting that you don’t even know what you will have to write yet I bet that will get the creative juices flowing. Take care. Caroline x
Thanks, Caroline! I’m looking forward to it, though I understand from other authors that it can be hard to write an idea that you didn’t originate. We’ll see!
RT! April! We must coordinate wardrobes and packing, and travel and…
Oh, you want me to finish this book first? Party pooper.
Great news Lynn…..I love series. In fact I just finished Carol Marinelli’s last book in The Royal House of Karedes. It kept me up all night 😳 It was fantastic and a ton of twists and turns tying up the royal families.
I’m also looking forward to your sheikh book!
Hi, Marilyn! Weren’t those Karedes books wonderful? And of course Carol can tell a story, can’t she? I’m hoping my sheikh gets a US date! Will let everyone know when and if he does.
Oh yes, must start thinking wardrobe and travel! But, yeah, I think we both have books to finish, sigh….
Hi Lynn.
Wow five books already! Thats wonderful.
This year i’m hoping to become a home owner. We are furiously looking for a house so fingers crossed.
I have just finished Cavelli’s Lost Heir and i must say it was Fabulous!
Well done 🙂
Oh good luck on your house hunt, Kerrin! I love looking at homes. Sometimes, the hubby and I will go look at model homes just for the fun of it. But we love our house, so I don’t think we’re moving anytime soon. Still it’s fun for ideas!
Thanks for the compliment! I’m so glad you enjoyed Nico and Lily!
Hi Lynn:
Congratulations on the great year you’re having 🙂
I’m looking forward to finishing the revision on the 4th MS, entering the MAGGIES, getting DH through his hip replacement and going to the RWA National Conference in Nashville!
Woot!
You know I hope for the best for your DH! Good luck with the revisions and Maggies — and heck yes, I’m so excited about National being right around the corner (and down the street, LOL).
I’m glad things are going so well for you Lynn! If I don’t see you before, maybe we can catch up at Nationals.
Congratulations on all the work, Lynn. I’m joining you in that continuity… looking forward to finding out what it’s all about. This will be my 3rd and I think they’re lots of fun. Good luck with the new book!
