Do you Google yourself? I do. I never know what I'll find. I have Google alerts, but they don't always work quite as thoroughly as a search will.
Imagine my surprise to find myself listed as a Simon and Schuster author! And I do mean ME, not the other Lynn Harrises out there. The page is cached, of course, because someone realized the mistake. But look at this link.
(My name was linked too, but that is long gone, sigh. Wish I knew what they'd attributed to me.)
Seriously, dear, dear Simon and Schuster, if you would like me to write a book or two (or three or four) for you, I'd be happy to entertain the idea! And then you could put the link back. Pretty please? 😉
If you Google yourself, what's the oddest or most surprising thing you've ever found?
Cue Col Clink… “Very interesting…”
Someday, Lynn! Someday! Keep on believing.
Me? I get hits for Royal Dalton China Figurines or documents on someone named Katherine’s bones. 😉
Well, I get a lot of hits for other people with my names (the breast feeding advocate and the herbalist) but if something pops up for me, the real me, its usually true. No unfounded gossip quite yet. I have found some old stuff, though, like a website project I did in 10th grade. Crazy.
Royal Dalton? Well, Bone is an unusual last name!
SP, I don’t even want to think about web projects in 10th grade. My school had the first computer class they’d ever had when I was a senior. It was on an Apple IIe. With 5.25″ drives. There was no public web then. 🙂
I google my title a lot 🙂
Strangest thing is that some porn site has tagged my title so that it shows up on google searches (thankfully on the very last page). But it’s disconcerting to click through that first time and find that instead of my book, I’ve found some girl-on-girl spanking video…
Oh dear, PC….
