I have workmen in my house, hammering, sawing, and making noise all day — and I'm eyeball deep in revisions. So, nothing new from me. Except I could use a quiet afternoon all to myself…..
Whass up with you?

Lynn,
Sounds like many things in your life are in the midst of change. Hope you’re able to tune out the workmen. Would you be able to slip out and seek some solitude at the library? Course if you’re overseeing the renovations, that wouldn’t be a good idea. Perhaps this is one of those lessons in patience, huh?
Is this part of the movie theater extravaganza. I told DB about it. Fortunately he didn’t decide we needed one, too.
Would headphones and music help? Sometimes I have to do that to get in my zone when the house gets loud. 🙂
Best of luck on your revisions. I know you’ll nail them!!
Hi, Keli! I can’t get away from them because I’m the designated homeowner while hubby is at work. *sigh* It’s not too bad today. They’re doing drywall.
Yes, SP! They are building a media center into the knee wall on one side, and relocating some outlets and stuff. I had no idea it would be so complicated, but apparently the framing for the media center was pretty time-consuming. I was a little amazed at the price when we had this estimated out, but now I think they didn’t charge enough! We aren’t having them paint, though. My inlaws want to do it for us, so they’re coming up soon to take care of it.
The other plans the hubby has are a pool table (I have seen and approved of it) and a wet bar. The wet bar will probably happen later though. Once we recover from this phase. *g*
Thanks, Kathy! I have my iPod, but I haven’t been listening to it. I can actually concentrate quite well when I get going and the noise from the workers remains constant. It’s when they change it up I pay attention. 🙂
