Ah, Fall is just around the corner. It's one of my favorite times of year because guess what — it's boot shopping season! Yay, boots! I love boots. In fact, I was surfing a few favs today and trying to decide which ones I need first.
What do you think of Uggs?

Leopard boots — yeah, baybee!
Whoa, need I say more?
Well, I suppose I could go on and on. I didn't find any red boots, though. *sigh* Would red leather boots be cool or what? Okay, now in truth, I can't have all these boots — Hubby would kill me if he saw THAT bill. 🙂 But I love looking, and I love shopping for shoes. Indeed, I'll hit the local DSW (with my previously mentioned $10 certificate) and see what I can find there.
What do you think of these boots? Is Fall boot shopping season for you too? What's your favorite boot here? Or, run over to Zappos or DSW and find a boot you like, then share it in the comments! Let's talk boots, y'all!
Boots! I really (heart) boots!! Especially knee boots with skinny heels. No flat-footed boots here! Half boots are hard for me to pull off–they tend to chop my legs and make me look really short (so I just wear them under pants and long skirts). I even own cowboy boots, but I don’t wear them very often (relics of my past).
But the booties are cute–especially the leopard ones. I might have to look for a pair of those.
But the Uggs are ugg-ly. Sorry.
I agree with PC – I can’t stand a boot without a heel. The Uggs are just not my thing.
I love boots. I tend not to wear them because I guess I have a wide calf and they don’t fit right on me most times. I also don’t like the restriction of movement on my ankle and a lot of styles do that too.
These are all loverly. If I had to pick…I like the Brenda. My inner drag queen really likes these, though. They’re a steal at only $1200!

I’ve never been a big Uggs fan myself. And then I started seeing those Hollywood types wearing them with jeans tucked in, big scarves, tight tees, etc, and I started thinking, hmm….
Typically, I’m not into flat boots though.
Cowboy boots, PC? I’ve never had a pair (if you don’t count the plastic ones as a kid), though I saw some killer pink ones at Zappos yesterday! But I couldn’t figure out what I’d wear them with. I totally agree on knee boots with a skinny heel! I love them!
Oh, SP, that’s a COOL boot! I love that!
I never have trouble wearing tall boots. I tried on a pair at DSW the other day that were suede and were gorgeous. But, they had a plastic zipper that went up the back and it was a little hard to deal with. I kept thinking what if the zipper broke prematurely? Because that material was going to last a looong time. I think they were Anne Klein, but can’t remember.
Oh man, I HAVE to go shopping soon. I must be prepared for the season. 🙂 Plus I think I get extra points at DSW if I buy something this weekend….
I love the Vinda ones.
Alas, I’m the one they make the Wide Calf boots for. Mine are HUGE, especially for a small person like me. If I find knee high boots that will actually zip over my calves, I have to buy them, because I may never find them again. You can’t get the special ones off the shelf around here.
I love the ones I have! Wear them all the time in winter, with dress pants and skirts. I have one pair that is especially comfortable and wear them to conference, because I can be in them all day without my feet hurting. My legs get a bit hot, but its worth it. 🙂
Danniele
I love those Vinda ones too, Danniele! They are very pirate-y to me. 🙂 Hot calves are worth it when you have a great pair of boots to wear. 🙂
Fall shopping is the BEST! Looks like I’m moving again, this time back to the Washington DC area, so I’m on the lookout for sweaters, boots and a leather blazer.
Oh, Carol, your shopping list sounds fun! DC, wow. Been there, lived that. 🙂 I have a love/hate relationship with the area, you know? It’s such a cool place, but so darn busy and rushed. But this means you should definitely be at conference next year! Yay!!
