I got nothing to talk about. You? Any big plans for the July 4th holiday? Mine involved New Orleans, crawfish, family, and sightseeing. Until mon pere had a tiny little car accident last night. Now, the trip is canceled until the fall. Ah well. Really, I need the time to prepare for SF anyway! Much shopping to do, lists to make, etc. (Everyone is fine — except the car, that is.)
I'm also reading Roxanne St. Claire's Then You Hide and feeling depressed. Rocki is SOOOO good. I've been wanting to read the book for a while, but deadlines and all that kept me from reading much of anything. And now I'm turning pages like my fingers are on fire and wondering if I'll ever be this good. I can only hope!
Any good books on your list this summer? Any cool trips planned?
Lynn – So sorry to hear about the car and cancelled trip! But I’m not sorry you love THEN YOU HIDE! Thank you! 🙂 See you in SF!
xoxo
Rocki
I’m not a big fan of the 4th of July. Over the years, all I’ve really gotten out of it (aside from a paid day at work) is multiple sunburns, food poisoning, and repeated attempts to have fingers blown off or my house burned down. Any holidays that combine alcohol and explosives are low on my list.
That said, I really like the big fireworks shows. The fire is far away and hopefully the people setting them off aren’t drunk.
Hope all your people are okay!
Hi, Rocki! The car and canceled trip are much easier to swallow when I have such a fabulous book to read!! 🙂 Loving it very much. You da bomb!
LOL, SP. Alcohol and explosives, mm-hmm. You are too right. Now that we aren’t going to N.O., we’ll probably just hang out and grill — or something.
Everyone is okay. The car is a bit smashed, but no one was hurt. And the car can be fixed.
We’re going to the campground. The DH will play volleyball and I’ll captain the suntanning team. ::grin::
I was looking at my closet yesterday and my stomach started sinking when I realized SF is just a few weeks away.
Must. Work. Out. Wardrobe. And with as little shopping as possible.
Sorry to hear about the accident but thank goodness no one was hurt.
Marilyn
Thank goodness no one was harmed!! Sending best wishes your way, Lynn. 🙂
Fireworks are fantabulous at the Stars Game. You should go!! We’ll either go there or I’ve heard Bridge Street is having a BIG fireworks show. Might be worth your time. It should be excellent!!
SF? OMG! I’m so not ready!!!
PM, I love the suntan team. 🙂 Have fun at the campground!
Kathy, I’ve been hearing about those Bridge Street fireworks. Sounds like it’ll be great!
