I did not set out today to change the look of this blog! One minute I was reading comments and the next the background was gone. I kid you not! I wasn't even signed in, just hit the refresh button, and my template was gone. Lots of white space, no colors or columns or anything. All my material was still there, but the background was MIA.
That, of course, would not do. I checked out other people on Blogger and saw that no one else seemed to be having a problem. I waited several hours, refreshing periodically, and still no template. I checked the HTML — it was still there and should have worked.
Finally, I gave up and went in search of a new template. So, voila! I unveil for you the new Romancing Paradise, soon to be renamed Romancing the South or something like that. 🙂
And if any of you have a clue what the hell Blogger did when it decided not to display my template anymore, I'd love to know. For once, I'm stymied. It can't be my fault because I wasn't signed in and fiddling!

Darn it, now I’m starting to see Old West here and I DON’T like it! Mark, stick to preaching! 🙂 So, the new look of RP may be changing again. But first I have to finish this thesis. Dammit, I’m going to learn how to design my OWN blog template. When I have time. Yeah, like I have time.

Just popping in to hi, Lynn 🙂 I came via Alison’s blog when I saw you were in Hawaii. I was curious about how many romance writers lived there since I’m heading Honolulu way — hopefully — in Decemeber to do the Honolulu Marathon.
Love the ‘new look’ (although I don’t know how it compares to the old. :)) and yes, it does have a tensy Old West feel, now that it’s been pointed out.
Hi, Loreth! Thanks for stopping by. We do have an RWA chapter here. I’m currently the president of the Aloha Chapter. It’s a great group, though small. We don’t meet in December, or I’d tell you to come to a meeting!
Honolulu is great. I hate to leave it (we’re moving to Alabama). I’m not a marathoner by any stretch, but my husband and I did the 8 mile Aloha Run in February. It was a lot of fun.
An eight mile run is pretty darn impressive!! I checked the link to the chapter … and see you have the gracious Tess as a member. Jane, too. A small group that packs some punch 🙂 🙂
